Transition Management for Acquisitions And Mergers

FIT can be set apart from other acquisition transition management firms in that our people have retired from refining and chemical companies, most with over 25 years of experience in technical and managerial positions. Most of them have been through acquisitions and mergers, often as managers. Many have been on both sides of the table and understand the dynamics of change and the volatility of the organization. And all of them understand how to facilitate rapid transition, moving to more efficient and effective processes and programs, with minimal disruption to the organization and to business. Where business processes are questionable or standards must be set, FIT can assist, providing an impartial methodology to determine a default best set of business practices and systems to become the corporate standard, all the while taking site or company ‘ownership’ biases away and sponsoring employee acceptance.

FIT can provide a targeted program of transition management of communications systems (including telephone and radio), Internet services, e-mail, safety and environmental reporting, control systems, marketing terminals, distribution systems, software licensing, hardware contracts, and all site information management systems.

We specialize in merging, streamlining and simplifying systems. We can streamline the support infrastructure, transition proprietary systems, and simplify complex systems. We are familiar with putting temporary measures in place, and assisting to create plans for migration, sometimes temporarily out hosting large, cumbersome applications while moving to smaller, more agile ones, greatly reducing overhead and cost.

FIT provides management with a small team of experts to offload and manage major areas of the transition effort. If business process or organizational change seems appropriate, we can additionally provide a group that can very rapidly assess the new environment and find areas for improvement, set up change programs, sponsor employee buy-in to programs, mentor program implementation and finally provide post audit and adjustment to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measurement programs in the improved areas. We offer the versatility to be as much or as little as is needed.
